Cob is an organic building material made from sifted sub-soil and water, miced by hand or foot. Truckee based artist, Meredith Stisser, sources soil from various locations around North Lake Tahoe including the Prosser Meadow and the Truckee River. The soil is then sculpted and sealed using linseed oil or an acrylic coating.

Do you want to hold the energy of your happy place in your home? At request, Modern Mountain Home’s Truckee based cob-artist Meredith Stisser can source soil from your locale. Upon success of sample soil, your natural, cob piece will be shaped using the Earth from your desired location.
